Oracle, Nobody can prove to you what the truth is because if they can it's still their truth, not yours. I know you have a very good knowledge about Buddhist philosopy, psychology, and Sutras, but you lack direct insight experience. Let me suggest to you the following ideas for you to practice. Try to practice diligently and sincerely for about 3 months. I can assure you that the truth will come to you. Do this: 1) Try to be generous to other sentient beings: donate to charity, help others in any way you can, love people around you. If you're married, treat your spouse's family as if they're your own. Take your friends and neighbors out to eat once in a while. 2) If you're more knowledgeable about any subject than others, then sincerely show others so they can improve their knowledge. Do not show off. 3) Practice meditation about 30 minutes a day. Practice meditation will help you to do item 1) and 2). Doing item 1) and 2) will also help you in meditation. Let me know if you're on the road to finding the truth. |
