Hi PTDT. Thanks very much for all the explainations. I do understand what you have mentioned earlier. However, I would want to go one step further and hope that you can help me to understand it completely.y first original question was that we would use rules/regulations/policies to prevent us from doing wrong. However, what would we use to prevent our mind from traveling or to make it focussed. Sakymuni created a whole bunch of rules/policies for monks, nun, and us. We then use those to prevent our body from doing wrong things and hope to get to the englightment stage. We know that in every single one of us, there are 2 parts. One is physical needs and one is spiritual needs. We really much know what to do to comply with the physical needs but for the spiritual needs we are still having doubts on sometimes. So here is my question again and hope that I won't confuse you. What should we do to keep our mind to not traveling or if there are ways to help us to stay focussed? Again, thanks very much for your kindness. Babymonk. |
