Buddha taught that the only way a person could escape from the cycle of birth and rebirth is to attain enlightenment. I disagree. I was just pondering the thought that if people in general (good or evil) cease to reproduce, then the cycle of rebirth would slowly stop. Therefore, a person doesn’t have to be enlightened to escape from the cycle of rebirth. |
