This information will not stop anyone from suffering.
Yes. No information could stop people from suffering. Please see the KALAMA SUTRA I have mentioned before.

By the way, who said that I am suffering?
It is too early to say so. You are too young.
And even that, I myself, am also suffering when I see other people suffering. I do not think you are egoistic to say the contrary. Right?
A devata said:
"One who has sons delights in sons,
One with cattle delights in cattle.
Acquisitions truly are a man's delight;
Without acquisitions one does not delight."
The Buddha answered:
"One who has sons sorrows over sons.
One with cattle sorrows over cattle.
Acquisitions truly are a man's sorrows;
Without acquisitions one does not sorrow."

So far I have found it much easier to find happiness in regular life.
That is called ZEN in Buddhism. And everybody could feel that inner happiness in some short times or for long time if there are self-sufficient.
Trivial thoughts, insignificant thoughts,
When followed they distract the mind.
Not understanding those thoughts
The roaming mind runs back and forth.
But by understanding those thoughts
One ardent and mindful restrains the mind.
An awakened one has overcome them completely
So they do not arise to distract the mind.
-Udana

I do whatever I feel like,
That is also called "happiness" until one day you could not do what you like ... when you grow older... then...

help whomever I can,
You are good hearted, and have positive mind.

and study as much as I want.
You are a good person who live on own talent and capacity.

Even if I'm enlightened, it doesn't stop world hunger,
It is true.

but if I work hard enough, I can donate more money so that there will be one less starving kid in this world.
That is a different thing. You can be enlightened but still working. Why not?
You could not feed all of the kids on this world. Right? But if you are enlightened and help the kids, is it much much much better?

And for conclusion:

Monks, we who look at the whole and not just the part, know that we too are systems of interdependence, of feelings, perceptions, thoughts, and consciousness all interconnected. Investigating in this way, we come to realize that there is no me or mine in any one part, just as a sound does not belong to any one part of the lute.
- Samyutta Nikaya
