I have just come back from Vietnam. During the trip which conincided with the Budda's birthday, I made a donation of $1300 to the poor people who attended the ceremony at PHUOC LAM temple of Thon 3, Xa Tien Hiep, Huyen Tien Phuoc, Tinh Quang Nam, a remote and montainous region. Each received and equivalence of 50,000 VN dong. 400 poor families benefited from my donation. I also met a family whose son has been suffered from the effect of the Agents Orange. His head is so big that his body could not support. He's about 7 years old but could not sit up due to his big head. His parents are too poor to care for him. They had in the past attempted to let their son to starve to death. I could only convince them that their son must have been in this world for a reason. Please do not harm him in any way. I gave the parents 400,000 VN dong. Now I am appealing to your generosity to help this desperate family.
