Thank you very much fo your prompt reply and explanation. I've known others to have the same view as you do. But Pha'p Mo^n Nie^m Pha^t still bothers me because Buddhism is a non-theistic religion. Before the Mahayana sutras were written, nobody had known Amitabha Buddha. Suppsose that Tu Nie^m Pha^t is one of the profound practice, then a Buddhist might as well pray to Jesus Christ, or Dia Tang Vuong, or whoever they found in a certain texts because it has the same effect for both Pha^t Di Dda`, Jesus Christ, and those they found are considered Supreme Beings (depending on what view you hold). Any body out there, please explain. Nam Mo^ A Di Da` Pha^t. |
