Subject: Nui ong cam chau doc |
Post No: 1107 |
I was wondering here if anyone here could answer my questions about this chan buddhist Vietnamese temple. It was founded in 1949 by Trieu Truc Khai and it was the third chan buddhist temple in Vietnam (I believe). The name when it first came to be was Nui ong cam chau doc, but I'm beginning to suspect it has changed its name because I can't find any reference to it anywhere on the net. It's current abbot (or "owner") is Nguyen van Nguyen (Hue Khai) but he has been unable to visit the temple for decades due to the fact that he had to flee from Vietnam. In some contexts the temple is also called a Thieu Lam temple, because the founder was a Shao lin monk. If anyone could point out a map or something where I could see the location and if the name has changed I'd be glad if anyone knew that. Any material about the temple is welcome really. |
